We have been running a #nodered to #telegram bot for over a year. It tracks and alerts a ton of different things.
Here is a screenshot just now of todays #radiosondes so far. Its reset/totaled at 2300 PST.

I want to hunt #radiosondes but I'm in Scotland and the closest launch site is Newcastle over the border in England.

Am I out of luck? Do things ever drift northward?

The FS Maria S. Merian completed the third and last crossing of the #ITCZ during the campaign MSM 114/2. During ten days, Julia Windmiller and Laura Köhler from the Max Planck Institute of Meteorology and Daria Paul and Lennéa Hayo from the University of Cologne sampled three vertically resolved profiles of the ITCZ with #radiosondes.

As a #weather and #radio enthusiast I like to receive and decode #radiosondes (weather balloons) and if they don’t land too far away I have been known to recover them! Wimo have an article about decoding them this week…
