Tom Hiddleston and Genden Phuntsok discuss their filming experiences and challenges in retelling this epic true story of Edmund Hillary of New Zealand and Tenzing Norgay, a Sherpa from Nepal becoming the first two people to reach the summit of Mount Everest (29,035‑feet).

In 1953, Tenzing Norgay was at the heart of the successful British Everest expedition as leader of the Sherpas whose hard work brought victory and as one of the two lead climbers to reach the top. But behind Tenzing's radiant smile is an untold story of courage, tragedy, and ambition, of a man who overcame incredible odds just to reach the bottom of the mountain. Born in a sacred Tibetan valley in the shadow of Everest, Tenzing's long journey led him from life as an illiterate yak herder to become the friend of Nehru, feted by monarchs and presidents all over the world.

Filmed at Mount Everest, Nepal. Tenzig is released on AppleTV on the 16th October 2026.

Peter Cushing's digital replica rights as Star Wars Moff Tarkin Lawsuit thrown out of UK court today.

Legendary actor Peter Cushing played Grand Moff Tarkin in Star Wars (1977).
The actor passed away in 1994.
LucasFilm resurrected Cushing to play Tarkin for Rogue One (2016) with a digital creation from Visual effects company Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) after Cushing's family agreed to the project.
Tyburn Film Productions took LucasFilm/Disney to the UK courts in 2021 arguing they held rights over the star being bought back to life by technology and the digital replica used in Rogue One was done without permission.
Today (18th Dec 2025) after four years, appeal judges tossed the case out of court based on the fact that Tyburn's contract did not apply in this case.
The news continues to add weight to many actors opposed to digital scanning and AI.
