  1. There's a non zero effort to configuring your machine to do python development if you are making a contribution to a product.

If you are a python dev who uses linux as your development operating system - what are libraries that you have found useful to install ?

I'm writing some documentation about it and will reference your contributions.

    Thanks

    [UPDATE]
I took some time to write about memcached, and the tools I needed to install you can read about it here.

  6. This last morning in Long Beach I tried to slow things down a little and take the day more calmly ☕🙂

I had a good coffee with @wsvincent , then stopped by the sprint area where many people were working on Python and Django together.

  11. During the welcoming this morning at #PyconUS it was mentioned that after the talks finish on Sunday, the sprints take place on Monday and Tuesday. I'd definitely recommend checking them out and I'm interested in seeing how many more people are there this year.

If you'd like to see what projects have already signed up to sprint, check out us.pycon.org/2026/events/dev-s

  12. Now that we have reached the closing of #PyConUS talks, I'll no longer be posting #PyConUSOpenSpaces announcements.

Thank you to everyone who has walked up to me and recognized me from posting those, my goal is to make them more accessible since we talk a lot about the hallway track.

I'll be sticking around for the #PyConSprints if anyone wants to find me. Can't guarantee I'll be posting room locations for those 😅.

  13. @PyConUS
In a shockingly annoying twist of fate, I turned up positive today (RT-LAMP test) after getting light symptoms last night. Based on the timing, my guess would be during the at . If you were in 250F on Monday, 250C on Tuesday, or 250D on Wednesday definitely make sure to check your tests.

  14. A successful set of this year at ! Opened my first pull request in @coveragepy and helped some others with their own. And I got my challenge coin from @beeware for fixing an issue with iOS builds! Looking forward to next year in Pittsburgh.

  15. @PyConUS Still around and looking for something to do? Want to get involved in the community? Join us at sprints!

  16. Me at the start of #PyConUS versus me at the end of #PyConUS...
