Lo-res video of the long-forgotten LA funk band Messenger playing live at the Los Angeles Street Scene, Sept. 20th 1986. A nearly 16 year old version of myself was someplace out in front of that stage, wondering what in god's name I was witnessing. I was one of a 1/4 million Angelenos milling about those outdoor downtown stages that day.

Gang of Four - Shrinkwrapped

After the just-not-good Hard, I don't think I expected GoF to ever release another vital album, and Mall looked to put a nail in that particular coffin, but then they proved me wrong with Shrinkwrapped.

Never expected it to come out vinyl, either. Not mad about it!

Gang of Four - Shrinkwrapped

After the just-not-good Hard, I don't think I expected GoF to ever release another vital album, and Mall looked to put a nail in that particular coffin, but then they proved me wrong with Shrinkwrapped.

Never expected it to come out vinyl, either. Not mad about it!
