@Fanua by all accounts ***Pull Strings*** just gets more comedically delightful and crazy as it goes on.
It’s up to episode 30 now on YOUKU VIP and by all reports never flags or disappoints (although the vfx not up to YOUKU’s best work and seem intentionally ludicrous at points).
I am behind as I am watching on Viki with another member of our household but it holds up well vs the source material based on my companion’s knowledge. Given that there are immortals and celestial beings in the story, I would categorize it as a xianxia rather than a wuxia though.
Ao Ruipeng, the ML, is a gorgeous, 188cm joyfully chaotic comedian, who revels in physical comedy. This tianxia cDrama seems to be a natural vehicle. (If you’ve caught some of his memes and mini-skits on his social media, you’ll know that this is just Ao Ruipeng being himself with a script and the benefit of wires to support his stunts.)
