Bought my nephew a copy of #Psychocandy for his 18th birthday.
Original, not a repress. Mint condition. That object is 22 years older than he is.
It was … not cheap.
But I also sent him a letter, explaining why I chose that from so many possible others.
The context in which it erupted in my life, and how I feel about it 40 years later.
I hope that is more valuable than the vinyl. Because, ultimately, music is nothing without us.
And we are lesser without #music

Psychocandy was released 37 years ago in 1985, it was astonishing then and remains so today. I always thought the video to ‘Just like Honey’ was incredibly beautiful and statuesque, my sculpture will eventually be cast in bronze.
