ai has not really gotten super political - you don't see groups aggregating and banding up - fedi is an expression of this perhaps. lots more people are getting fiber so that may well help pour gas on the fire and spur competition as well as the fact it is a national security issue, also sales opportunities - getting new buildings lit up. there may be correction but factories are running full tilt in the meantime

lots will happen in q3/4 with ai

I think a lot of the cooperation of local ai smb users will help their collective ai get better more quickly as it will have the most topical and relevant data to train on, the more people join the group or federated enclave the better and more comprehensive the data will get for that particular sector of the economy, that business niche. it could be sort of a modern unionization movement, consolidation but some brand new businesses also #prospectus

@jerry write up content on it since even though there is animus sometimes you need to feed the fire a bit and there are tons of people using it - the feedback would span and map out real cw #conventional wisdom.

I think you should focus on running local open source ai but run everything and vet and cross ref - is there a space for cautious use of ai as a reference tool in infosec (or law or medicine), it is an emergent question due to the fact so much is happening. what are the risks, legal issues, ethics - I think ai will hit smb sector in 3 years, it may be best to totally avoid for another year or two until the technology improves - even then run it as a sandboxxed prototype, ai brings an inherent risk

the dev side of this story is good,

the rasp pi will someday replace a 1 million dollar server - i like the solemn silence edit on that one

smb will go for the mikrotik 100g switch - i think that will be mkt leader in just a couple years

I think mike burry will lose a lot of money shorting tech and ai unless there is a near term dip, longer term the investments in tech and ai are going to pay off so his hold time or window for holding contrarian positions is a short term gamble; the longer term investments look good - the market always goes up in the long term and this situation will be no exception #prospectus

@paulasadoorian paul - use a 64 core chip and 4 monitors - boot 4 proxmox vm each to a sep monitor or just vnc/ssh to them - being able to paste between desktops would be nice - your main infosec ws should probably be kali-everything but you could have a ventoy to run any nmber of other enc/persistent usb distros that may have better tools or compat. lastly you do want a pretty little ai hate cluster that can run in the background. maybe a vps. maybe a nas, maybe a dedicated proxy box, definitely a 24/7 pkt cap box like malcolm. I see the 'linux desktop' as more of a gestalt concept/topic. they key is to empower ent/smb mkts and developers/practitioners and keep them happy. i see linux desktop for infosec/IT as generally outperform #prospectus #chalk talk
