  1. Next challenge in my #projectCarFree life:

Moving homes without the comfort of having a car at hand (e.g. for fetching moving boxes, etc. pp.).

People without own cars: what's your advice? What do you wish you knew *before* doing your first move without an own car?

Of course I'll rent a small truck on *the* day. But what are the useful "hacks" beforehand.

I have four months to go... 😁

  2. FINALLY I sold that car. 🥳🥳

    Proud of this achievement.
    Feels lighter, more flexible now.

Best part: bought a Halbtax Plus today - as I will be train traveling even more now. 🚂☺️

  3. In summer I booked (almost) all my (bi-)yearly checkup doctor appointments to ONE day. Join me in finding out if that was a smart idea! 🙃

Due to my enthusiastic schedule I'll need to stick to biking in-between because public transportation schedules don't cut it. Didn't plan for heavy rainfalls in summer. 🌧️😅

Well, at least I have rainwear for hiking.... so let's see how wet I'll arrive at the dentist and the ophthalmologist. 😁

  4. Next steps on the road to #projectCarFree done:

✅ additional tyres are sold (already last week),
✅ parking space keys returned (just this morning on my #running tour 😁🥳).

Last remaining step: sell that car (until EOY hopefully)

  5. Started serial-production recently with my #plantbased milk making #habit:

Making two bottles for the week reduces the (cleaning) effort. 🙌

Also kept the receipe & procedure, just added one TL rice sirup (in lack of sugar). Now the taste is perfect. 😋

Also my waste amount got so small for #projectCarFree that it's sufficient to bike to the recycling yard every now and then. 🥳

  6. Third iteration of the #plantbased milk making #habit:

    Oat-sunflower milk 😋 (3EL fine oats, 1EL sunflower seeds, 750ml H2O)

Way better Coffee-ability than just oats, delicious in the müesli. 😋 Saving money and waste (tetrapaks).

Getting better with each and every milk-making-iteration. 🥳

  7. Second step in the #projectCarFree thingy (chaos.social/@gazebo_c/1106939):

Create a #sustainable rhythm or #habit that enables me to get rid of the waste I so far stored in my car's trunk (driving to the recycling yard every now and then.

    Aiming for '#recycling cycling' every 14d 📦📰♻️ 🚴‍♀️

First tour done today. Might even result in slowly less waste overall. 💪🥳

  8. Second iteration of my new #habit: #plantbased milk making.

    Today: #oatmilk - filtered!

    2,5 Tablespoons fine oats
    750ml water
    Put into high-speed blender.
    Filter with nut-milk filterbag 🥳
    Done! :)

Still fit for muesli incl. delicious oats remainder 😋.
Coffee-ability: looks nice and is drinkable

Next step: tune taste for ☕

  9. First step in the #projectCarFree thingy (chaos.social/@gazebo_c/1106939):

Create a new #habit of #plantbased milk making.

    Today: #oatmilk - very basic

    2,5 Tablespoons fine oats
    1l water
    Put into high-speed blender.
    Done! :)

    Outcome: fit for muesli
Next step: make it fit for coffee 🙃

  10. Did a bold move: decided AND implemented getting rid of my car until max. end of Oct 2023.

    Woohoo! 🥳

Some steps need to be taken before, but there is no way back! 🫣

One part is: car trunk served as my "cellar". (Yes 🙈)
Another step: building a #habit of biking paper/tetrapaks to the recycling yard more regularly.
With that: intend to make more oat milk myself as this will reduce tetrapaks AND cost.

Pondering if this would be worth a blog. WDYT?
