I had a great time teaching the master student lecture today (although I had three hours of materials prepared, and the lecture had been reduced to a two hour schedule). The lecture was on the causes and solutions for the replication crisis in psychology, which I consider one of the most important and exciting areas to talk about. The students seemed engaged and had some great input! Sadly, my teaching obligations have been replaced by administrative tasks, so for now that is my teaching finished for the academic year.

I registered for an event, seemingly organised by one of my favourite professors, who retired a few years ago. I was super excited to get to see him again.
Turns out he shares a name with the *actual* organiser of the event 😅
I'm sure that guy is nice, too. At least now I have an opportunity to find out 🤷♀️

Campus was closed for Labor Day. I spent part of it cooking for about 300 people at the Northland Rescue Mission in Grand Forks.
A holiday moves a professor's work. It does not remove it.

Okay so I'm a total amateur.
One of our full professor just cycled by me, balancing his box of exams on the back of his regular bike. Didn't take pic because I was riding a bike myself, with my student behind me, and didn't want to set a bad example by taking my phone out and breaking the law, so y'all just have to take my word for it.
I guess now I know what I have to do to become full professor.

Not the most appetizing shot, but I want y'all to know that coconut rice pudding with mango, lime syrup and crushed pink peppercorns is very yummy.
(Context: we had our Easter potluck lunch at work today and I brought rice pudding with various toppings. Other toppings were lemon curd, passion fruit, banana, and powdered sugar. Had intended to also bring the caramelised bananas that I had made, but forgot.)
