The #spotLight episode for this #preLight is out (as of yesterday). Recorded with the preLights team (@Co_Biologists) I chatted with @kristine_willis about the #preprints covered in the preLight.
As well as discussing the trend in funding and publications towards more clinical research, it was also really interesting to talk about how important #Science gets recognition.

I have written another #preLight post, featuring the first work from the Boukhatmi lab.
Always fun to read a #fly paper, especially one with #microscopy too!
Check it out if you like injury repair and tissue/ECM remodelling.

My second @preLights post is all about “LaBeRling” ER membrane contact sites (ER MCS)! Established methods for labelling ER MCS can promote contact sites and stabilise/extend already established sites.
The @roylelab have found the ER resident Lamin B receptor may offer a anchor for chemical heterodimerization to label a variety of ER MCS at particular times, without affecting their properties.

Delighted to have joined @preLights and to have published my first post! I really enjoyed reading this #preprint on how #ER exit sites regulate the composition of P bodies. I’m excited to discover more about how cells regulate the composition of #biocondensates and how contact sites with them are established and maintained in the future. #ERES #contactsites #preLight #CellBiology #drosophila
