To the gentleman working at #Poundland in Kendal who told me the tape dispenser in the 3-for-£3 offer would be compatible with the Sellotape rolls in the same offer: it is not 🤣 The width is right but there’s too much tape to fit in the dispenser.

Poundland in Accrington, Lancashire (the English one) today refused to allow access an operator till for a customer in a wheelchair, so she told the staff member she was welcome to put it all back on the shelf.
Totally agree.
They already had a girl working a proper till, but she was only willing to do a refund for a lady who’d bought the wrong batteries.
Don’t care how ‘cheap’ the goods are (and they’re not a ‘Pound’ in that store any more). If you force folk to use self-service tills, you don’t deserve any business. Not just from disabled customers either.
Can guarantee the millionaire owners/board are not on minimum wage, or using self-service tills.

Bought a small 2000 mAh #powerbank for £3 in #Poundland in the UK and it is the same form factor as the Power Geek branded banks that they used to sell 7 years ago for £2 with a very slightly reduced capacity,
This is excellent timing as I have 4 of the older banks that have been well used and I was looking to source some replacement 18650 cells as the capacities are very reduced on a couple of them.
If the new bank holds a decent charge I may buy a couple more. -

Poundland sold for a pound. They had been going down for a while with their electronic stuff being the first to go off the shelves. Guess their product range will contract further now.

This #Poundland #screwdriver set is useless for removing these hex screws that fasten the metal housing for a COB LED I found on the street. Did this get snapped off from a vehicle or a flashing street sign?
The hex-star bits don't fit the screws properly and the metal is too soft so they just get chewed up
The PCB has 3 LEDs on each side. All 6 seem to be working. 3 in series, both sides in parallel. Total forward voltage of about 7.6V
