I haven't watched any of the new Star Trek shows (last few years) other than "Picard". So maybe they figured out this trick, but I wonder why - since "The Next Generation" - they didn't connect holodecks on 2 ships (or back to Starfleet Command or Starbase Gadzooks or whatever) to hold virtual "in-person" chats with each other...

Sure, you've been sitting in the back of a pickup in the dark for a half hour, your eyes have completely adjusted to the dark, yet when you hear a noise, you turn on your tiny cellphone flashlights as you investigate, thus announcing both your presence and location while blinding yourself to your surroundings. Either the writers or the charcters are really stupid. I vote for the writers.

Ok. So, I’m watching Home Alone (for the first time)… and I’m trying to reconcile how long it takes for the mom to get home.

60 hours to get from CHI -> CDG -> DFW -> CAK. Is that right?

CHI -> CDG - 8 hours
CDG -> DFW - 13h (2 hours turn around, 11 hours flight)
DFW -> CAK (5 hours)
CAK -> CHI (6 hours, via car)

She should have been home a little over a day later, but Kevin goes at least 3-4 days?
