Two weeks ago, I watched Project Hail Marry with my relatives in Alabama for the first time. Some juvenile humor aside, it is easily the best under-R-rated film of 2026, a space odyssey close in brilliance to 2001. Tonight, I viewed Toy Story 5 at my local AMC. Though not a masterpiece like the first two, it effectively gets the point across about toys in the age of kids playing on their devices, and with a semblance of screenwriting largely unseen from #Pixar for years.
