Using 9front for the first time and I really like it. There has certainly been a learning curve coming from Linux and BSD, but I'm getting there. Just need to set up Mail, Faces and an IRC client next.

So far I've just edited the theme, set up a couple functions, customised my riostart, edited the winwatch source code to reduce the padding etc. Everything I've done is pretty much in the acme window.

It seemed the virtual HDD was not completely erased. I repeated the entire process. Now I'm connected to plan9 using drawterm.

ARGHHHHH! Sick of Drawterm on Windows. Or maybe sick of Window's touchiness with Drawterm. They don't get along! #plan9 #plan9bootcamp maybe if I use another drawterm on Windows will it be more stable?

When I drawterm to my presumed (and confirmed with [l] in the VPS Maintenance Shell) already running plan9 I sometimes get a "Plan 9 Console" blank and unresponsive to keys or mouse. So I close the drawterm and do [s] [r] from maintmenu and rerun the drawterm and this worked until today when:
"cpu: cannot read ticket request in p9sk1: '/mnt/factotum/ctl' does not exist
goodbye"
Anyone got any idea what changed?

@alchemist it's funny but I haven't seen anyone in the #plan9bootcamp who's from the US and all of us have had issues with drawterm or accessing the system altogether 😂
