Incidentally, this is the missing piece/part 2 to my talk "Do Androids Dream of Second Brains?" at #pkmsummit26 last month! I wish I had been able to talk about this feature then!

Just released this video tutorial for how to enable @grafana's agentic tool, Assistant, for use with Grafana OSS. tl;dr: Assistant is not open source, and you still need a (at least free) Grafana Cloud account, but you CAN now use it for your self-hosted Grafana instance.

Incidentally, I demonstrated how I use Assistant to visualize my Obsidian data in my local Grafana instance at the #pkmsummit26 last month. :)

At the #pkmsummit26 last month, Jefta Bade was making these "key frames" that captured the essence of many different presentations on a large wall of brown paper he called "Wall of Clarity". Apparently @zsviczian came to him and inspired Jefta to create this key frame after my talk on how I'm using observability and I in my PKM system. Cool!

1/2 Last week at the #pkmsummit26 in Utrecht, I shared my work so far on how we can increase the likelihood of serendipitous events and eventually create serendipity protocols.

Iris (my OpenClaw instance for processing my Obsidian notes) processed my transcript and notes on giving my talk. She clearly knew I was talking about her, saying "you talked about how *I* helped you do X..." so I asked her what she thought of me talking about her. Here's her response.

Just gave a talk called "Do Androids Dream of Second Brains?: Observability and AI for PKM" where I showed off a super overkill but cool observability stack (with Alloy, Loki, Prometheus, and @grafana) to monitor information from my Obsidian notes--observability isn't just for computer systems! I also talked about how I'm starting to use OpenClaw with my notes, and some initial surprises from that.

I went to #pkmsummit26 last weekend and it was a blast. Seriously, if you are on this server (or are interested in PKM, Obsidian, taking notes, or learning) then you should really consider going next year. I met so many interesting people and so many good friends I'd made from previous years. It's super motivating to be around so many people who I feel are my tribe.
