Before, ALL pinned posts would appear below each other.
People who regularly visit a person's always had to scroll through the same pinned posts first. Every time,
I prefer the current approach, where you see one pinned post and can see the other ones if you want to.
That maybe the tiny little button should be more prominently visible, I can understand.

My pinned post organizer for Mastodon is one of those tools that I don't use very often, but when I do, I am so glad it exists.

Hey, so uh, why doesn't the 'Pin post' option toggle to 'unpin post' when a post is pinned on goblin.band? Why can we not unpin a post?

You're on Mastodon dot Social which runs on a "nightly" Mastodon distro build
On Github there has been a lengthy discussion about moving #PinnedPosts on to some sort of a #Carousel
I haven't seen any actual examples of what that is or how it works in practice, but that may be what you're seeing

today, I heard of pinned posts. Apparently, they work in the Fediverse as they do on Dreamwidth, keeping a post at the top of you profile. Do these exist on Friendica? If so, how are they enabled, and can you pin more than one post? Can this be done via TweeseCake?

If you have a post on Mastodon that you want people to see when they browse your profile, you can pin it to the top.
Find the post you want, click on "..." below it and select "Pin on profile". You can unpin by the same method.
This is particularly useful for introductory posts, or other information you think people should know.
Unlike Twitter, you can pin many posts at once on Mastodon.
