  1. #Perth #Australia #Mushrooms #SlipperyJacks

Best looking Slippery Jack mushrooms I've seen in Perth.

But I'm only just over the bowel sensitivities I got from eating these mushrooms some 10 years ago.

    So no way.

Wishing we had #PineSaffron mushrooms here.

    They look suspiciously like #SlipperyJacks
Edit: Wrong photo - these have gills.

Hot spices will still have me reminded unpleasantly of the Slippery Jacks I unwisely ate without removing the spongey spore-bearing part.
    (A similar effect on wombats?)

I read others have no problem eating them just peeling off the top slippery layer.

    But no more for me.

#PineSaffron mushrooms on the other hand ...

  5. #Mushrooms #SlipperyJacks #Canberra #Perth

    Saw these while walking.

It is these mushrooms that I believe are very popular with Canberra's wombats.
Walked dogs in those pine forests at this time of the year.
Never found a good cleaning agent.

I too used to eat Slippery Jacks and I won't be eating anymore.
But I miss the #PineSaffron very much.
