I'm not sure I need to, but regardless I'll highlight how much of a legend @OndrejMirtes is:
Last month I saw his talk at #phpuk26 on custom phpstan rules...
Yesterday at #dpc26 I'm in a talk by Paul Conroy who mentions named arguments in PHP, so I message Ondrej to ask if it's possible for @phpstan to detect places people should have used a named argument. 4 hours later we're in the bar hacking the new rule together on my laptop; 30 minutes, 2 beers, new rule, fully tested!

I had a really fun day at #PHPUK26! Loved all the conversations I had and miss the ones I didn't have the time to have with the people I haven't seen in a while.
Conferences are always a great way to meet new faces and see olds ones while also learning new things! :)

Brilliant day at #phpuk26. This community really is special and I appreciated @DaveLiddament closing comment that it's up to everyone at the conference to support (or if necessary start) local meetups to keep this going

Lots of hands up for people who wish they had more time to spend on Open Source development in this talk by @vanamerongen to close off #phpuk26

And here is the article to go along with it: https://phpunit.expert/articles/from-events-to-insights.html?ref=mastodon #PHPUK26

Next up at #phpuk26 we have Simon Hamp (not sure his handle) talking native php, but begining with some philosophy courtesy of Rick & Morty
-
We've got @sebastian up next at #phpuk26 teaching us about testing event driven systems. He's giving some insight to start with on event storming, which reminds me I'd really like to try one of these workshops!
-
Next up at #phpuk26 we have @OndrejMirtes taking the brave option of live coding during his talk on writing custom rules for @phpstan
Really interesting to think of using static analysis rules to enforce domain conventions rather than just raw language logic

Heading out to #PHPUK26! Yes I know I'm a bit late but I got my reasons :p

If you're a speaker at #phpuk26 you can claim your talk and get your qr code for your slides on joind.in here: https://joind.in/event/php-uk-conference-2026/schedule/list
I'll approve claims as they come through

I will be speaking at the PHP UK Conference again in 2026 on "Saving Time by Using a Debugger" (you can guess which one 😉).
