On this day 32 years ago in 1992, "RoboCop" premiered.
RoboCop is often described as an over-the-top action movie. Sure, you can describe it that way, because on the surface it is. But, you can dig a bit deeper. RoboCop has some gut-wrenching scenes of a man attempting to recapture his humanity.
I normally post action scenes, but I'll post a more sombre scene from RoboCop today.

I'm a sucker for Heads Up Display technology on screen. We see two different HUDs from characters in RoboCop 2: RoboCop and RoboCop 2... aka Cain, respectively. This showcases the double meaning of the RoboCop 2 title well actually.
RoboCop 2 adds a "Plot Trajectory" overlay allowing RoboCop to ricochet rounds off surfaces and into the skulls of criminals. Useful.
It's nice that Cain's HUD has a very different look and feel too.

Any movie that makes you feel for the bad guy is doing something right. In RoboCop 2, Cain gets his life support turned off, his brain scooped out, and then imprisoned in a cybernetic body.
As it turns out, Cain's brain isn't much of a match for RoboCop's clenched fist, thankfully.
