The newest #MissAmerica is a graduate of the Air Force Academy (BS, physics) currently studying poli-sci at Harvard and an active-duty pilot.
I am not positive if she is the first person to hold the title who has been trained in the application of deadly force, but I bet she's the first commissioned officer still on active duty.
