    #vote

    especially you american assholes

#fascism doesn't want you to vote

and, in your mindless #cynicism and loser #perfectionism, you give them exactly what they want

    why?

    fucking pathetic

of course you don't *only* vote

because this is a war, and a vote is just one small tactic on one small battlefield

but to ignore something so easy is just unfathomably stupid

because you think a vote is some holy thing that reflects on your soul?

    😂

    that's SO DUMB

    it's just tactics

  5. @passenger @johnzajac

    attack the #democrats

    the democrats fucking suck

    but more importantly:

Review: Wolf’s Belly by John August

August, John. (2026). Wolf's Belly. Roaring Book Press. Ok! *slaps hands, then rubs them together* Where to start with this one? So, the publisher's description calls this a retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. Ok. Sure. In so much as there is a girl, who ends up with a red cape, and has a grandmother, and they get eaten by a wolf. That's kinda where the similarity ends. In this case, the protagonist's name is Lu. Lu has a bunch of siblings who have all done fantastic things. One […]

  8. I have always found it difficult to adopt a carefree attitude and just "go with the flow". When on holiday, it is more likely that I will create a detailed itinerary and obsess about visiting every possible attraction, regardless of whether this may be detrimental to my enjoyment. As ridiculous as it sounds, failure to do this can result in me feeling as if I have somehow failed to complete the task that I have assigned myself.

During this weekend's trip to Chester (which was a birthday present from my wonderful wife), however, the most enjoyable aspect was simply walking around without a plan or having to stick to times. There is an abundance of historical sites and impressive architecture in Chester, but I was happy to visit only what was convenient. Maybe there's hope for me yet 😃

  9. Perfectionists when they meet the Nirvana fallacy. :P

The nirvana fallacy is the informal fallacy of comparing actual things with unrealistic, idealized alternatives. It can also refer to the tendency to assume there is a perfect solution to a particular problem. A closely related concept is the "perfect solution fallacy".

By creating a false dichotomy that presents one option which is obviously advantageous—while at the same time being completely unrealistic—a person using the nirvana fallacy can attack any opposing idea because it is imperfect. Under this fallacy, the choice is not between real world solutions; it is, rather, a choice between one realistic achievable possibility and another unrealistic solution that could in some way be "better".

It is also related to the appeal to purity fallacy where the person rejects all criticism on basis of it being applied to a non ideal case.

    History

In La Bégueule (1772), Voltaire wrote Le mieux est l'ennemi du bien, which is often translated as "The perfect is the enemy of the good" (literally: "The best is the enemy of the good").

The nirvana fallacy was given its name by economist Harold Demsetz in 1969, who said:

The view that now pervades much public policy economics implicitly presents the relevant choice as between an ideal norm and an existing "imperfect" institutional arrangement. This nirvana approach differs considerably from a comparative institution approach in which the relevant choice is between alternative real institutional arrangements.

  10. Life is Strange: Opening the Show with Max and Her World

The beginning of any adaptation is crucial. It sets tone, introduces characters, and signals the story audiences can expect. For Life is Strange, the original game begins with Max in her photography class, daydreaming and glimpsing a terrifying tornado flash-forward. While this moment is iconic, television demands a different approach. Audiences are passive viewers rather than players, so dropping them immediately into a surreal tornado vision risks confusion or detachment. Instead, the show […]

How do we replicate it across the #USA?

Mob the fuck out of #primaries #primaries2026

Get real #left candidates in the general #election

#Psyop #troll farms will be harping on #toxicIdealism to suppress the #vote on the left. This has been going on for awhile now. Do not listen to such voices

"They're nice but {insert deranged appeal to #perfectionism here} so I'm not voting" is how #MAGA and #geopolitical #trollfarm operates on *you*
