Picked up a 13mm cine lens for the Pentax Q. I'm excited to do some portraiture with it, but the small things I was able to find required some cropping to isolate, and I am pleasantly surprised by how decent things still came out from that tiny little sensor! I've always wanted a lens with some swirl to it.

My workspace has evolved a little bit more, and I just finished my third wheel build, and this was the "Big One," though not in size... It's a shame it'll never look better than it does now...
The one issue with building 20" wheels that I should have seen coming is my tension meter straight up does not fit, so this is very much just a "Hope it's good enough!" situation!

Trying to take a different lens with me each work day, and today I was faffing around with the "GIZMON Wtulens." The crop factor basically makes it a tele lens on this camera, and it has the misfortune of having a pretty tight fixed aperture, so really wanting a lot of light, but very difficult to focus with the screen in bright light. I feel like it would be a fun lens to use with a color-gelled ring-flash in party scenarios, but the crop factor makes that a bit of a non-starter. I have a few "toy" lenses specifically made for this camera that will likely fill that role better, and I'm not sure that I'll trot this one out very often in the future.

A week and a bit ago I got delivery of a Wotoncraft Sling Pouch 3.5L that I ordered.
Turned out to be pretty much the perfect camera bag for my Fujifilm and Pentax cameras.
I love my Bellroy sling when I want to go small and super-light with my Ricoh; but the Wotoncraft gives me more options.

First morning commute where the sun was out since getting a "new" camera as a very early christmas present.
First photo is a bit of a half-assed attempt at aping the Radavist bike photo style and shooting with a tele-lens to just... crush space around the bike.
The second is just done with a 47mm equivalent prime.
I've also just downloaded some DarkTable presets from One Camera One Lens (linked at bottom), because my photographic "workflow" tends to get hung up on editing (I hate it!). It's the kind of thing I always viewed as "cheating" in the past, but I'm not competing, and I'm also not doing *anything* without a leg up, so I am taking it. Thanks, Mark. Maybe I'll actually start learning how to edit soon. :P

I'm on a conference for work (union work) and brought the Pentax since it's so small. The pidgeons here are not shy. This was from yesterday afternoon. I liked how the entire scene is grey except for the pidgeons feet and the small items in the shop window. #pentax #pentaxq #photography

I now own every system lens for the Pentax Q, which is kind of the coolest thing ever.
Amusingly the last lens I got was NOT the 08; I've had one of those for years. It was the toy lenses and the fisheye.
Now if anyone happens to work at Pentax/Ricoh and is willing to steal and/or sell me one of the prototype 09 lenses that's hanging around in storage, I would do unspeakable things to get my hands on one...
