A very #DeutscheBahn experience.

I'm currently on the #Railjet from #Denmark to #Prague, and there, as usual, is a staff change in #Padborg.

To nobody's surprise, the train with the #DB staff is delayed, so we'll be here 20 minutes waiting.

Bei Halt in Padborg funktioniert die (illegale) Grenzkontrolle übrigens so: Es wird genau eine Tür am ganzen Zug geöffnet. Polizei kommt rein, rennt an beide Enden des Zuges, kontrolliert durch und DANN dürfen die Leute einsteigen, die mitwollen.

Lächerlich.

And one more night train : Southbound by comfortable modernized :oebb: :nightjet: couchette comfort compartment bringing me to #Karlsruhe right next to the French border.

Today was definitely an exciting day, apart from the early morning in Malmö, the launch of the amazing new :dsb: Talgo 230 :kb_ec: EuroCity, I still spent the evening in the #MiWuLa model railway exhibition where I could admire the adorable #H0 replica of #Padborg st in memories to the ICE TD service linking Denmark and Germany using high-speed rail in past.

And as most good travel days : The day ends in a comfortable couchette dreaming me closer to my destination.

#Padborg 🇩🇰 yard used to be a place (or still is a place, which I ignore since I haven’t been there for years) where a number of round-nosed #Nohab diesels had been stored. Pictured here, on a photo I’ve taken in July 2006, is former #DSB MX 1030, named “Ellen”. The six-axle class MX locos were built in the early 1960s.
