Ich hab mir einen ganz billigen smart ring gekauft. Die App funktioniert einwandfrei ohne je internet-zugriffs-rechte gehabt zu haben. Puls, Sauerstoffsättigung, Körpertemperatur, Schrittzähler, Schlafüberwachung, Touch-Area um eine App auf dem Smartphone zu steuern. Notruf-Funktion. "AI"-"Funktionen" in der App, die "Health"-"Ratschläge" geben.

Der Oura Ring funkt nicht nur zu Oura. Im DNS-Log tauchen u. a. Segment, Braze, Sentry, Firebase/Crashlytics und Adobe auf.
Für den normalen Betrieb habe ich bislang nur diese Domains freigegeben:

As someone who doesn’t wear a watch, nor jewellery too often, I’m so glad I’ve been introduced to the Oura Ring 5. The new model ring is not only smaller, but boasts some bonus functions and extra specs that were missing in the Oura 4.
For anyone not familiar with this stat-reading product, the Oura can best be described as an attractive, traditional-looking ring that tracks the user’s sleep, activity, stress levels, temperature, and general health monitoring.
The new petite size of the Oura Ring 5 is probably it’s greatest selling point, and here at Cream, we believe the best technology is increasingly that which we forget we’re wearing. Even in an accessory sense, you don’t want to be too conscious of the jewellery you’re wearing. That way, when someone comments on a piece (and I’ve received plenty of comments and compliments on the Oura) your response is more one of casual surprise as opposed to eye-rolling expectation. So, yes, size matters when it comes to an Oura ring, and in our view, the smaller and lighter the ring, the better.
Here are five more great things about the new Oura Ring 5.
01. It’s not only smaller but much more comfortable
This is probably the most immediately obvious upgrade. Oura reports that the Ring 5 has 40% less volume than the Ring 4, measuring 6.09mm wide and 2.28mm thick versus 7.9mm and about 2.88mm. The redesigned, flatter sensor arrangement also makes the inside feel less intrusive. Basically, it feels less like wearing a piece of technology and more like wearing an actual ring.
02. The sensors are smarter, improving accuracy
This is the big one, technically. Oura has redesigned the optical sensing system, with shorter light paths, more efficient LEDs and improved sensor positioning. There’s better accuracy in overnight heart rate variability, by 12%, and closer to 20% improvement in accuracy of heart rate during activities such as walking, running and cycling, compared with the Oura 4.03. Battery life is longer
Your Oura ring comes with a small but speedy battery charger, and most users find a full charge to last about a full week.
Energy gets a good bump up in the Oura Ring 5. In fact, one full charge sees the ring reading your stats for a solid week, sometimes even up to 9 days depending on your levels of activity and its analysing of these, whereas I found the Ring 4 often only lasted for a week. We realise that longer batter life is not surprising in progressing models of technology, but with a wearable bit of smart tech like this – whose whole purpose is continuous monitoring, particularly overnight – that extra day or two can make all the difference. You spend less time thinking about charging it and more time actually wearing it. That said, it charges fairly quickly.
04. It’s lighter and less visually ‘techy’
The combination of the slimmer profile, lower weight and redesigned sensors makes Ring 5 considerably more discreet. And of course it’s available in several finishes, including a new Deep Rose. Oura has really pushed the jewellery rather than gadget aesthetic this time. The lightness of the ring means it is unobtrusive, hence you’re much more likely to leave it on 24/7 and that of course means better data.
05. The health insights are becoming more proactive
This is slightly different from the hardware improvements. Ring 5 launches alongside newer software experiences including ‘Health Radar’, which is designed to flag potential changes in areas such as cardiovascular and respiratory health. There are also new health-oriented insights – mostly to assist users taking diabetic/weight loss medications such as Ozempic or Wegovy – and some new AI-enabled medical guidance. For those who have invested in an Oura Ring 4, don’t panic as Oura says many of these new software experiences are also coming to Gen 3 and the Ring 4, so everybody’s happy.So, with its better sensing, smaller design and more comfortable fit, plus a better battery life, this ring is definitely having more outings alongside the Cartier. Now, I know I did say I don’t wear jewellery often but I’m getting used to both rings being worn now.

Apple rozważa fundamentalną przebudowę Apple Watcha — od okrągłych ekranów, przez fitness trackery bez wyświetlacza, po nowe warianty premium i budżetowe. Przy okazji ceramiczna obudowa, nieobecna od sześciu lat, może wrócić już w tegorocznej Serii 12.
Niedzielne wydanie newslettera „Power On” Marka Gurmana dla Bloomberga przyniosło jeden z bardziej intrygujących tekstów o przyszłości Apple Watcha od dawna — obraz produktu, który po dekadzie funkcjonowania w niemal niezmienionej formule może wkrótce przejść fundamentalną przebudowę.
Przemyślenie Apple Watcha od podstaw
Jak informuje MacRumors, Gurman porównuje skalę planowanych zmian do rewolucji, jaką dla iPhone’a stanowi przejście na formę składaną — coś, co ma na nowo zdefiniować produkt na nadchodzącą erę. Zespół projektowy Apple od jakiegoś czasu bada szerszą przebudowę koncepcji smartwatcha, biorąc pod uwagę kilka możliwych kierunków jednocześnie.
Apple poważnie traktuje odrodzenie popularności opasek fitness bez ekranu i inteligentnych pierścieni, jak Oura Ring, i rozważa własne urządzenia w tym stylu — pozbawione wyświetlacza, ale też nowe warianty Apple Watcha z odmiennymi typami ekranów i rozmiarami. Jak dodaje 9to5Mac, wśród rozważanych kształtów pojawia się okrągły wyświetlacz — coś, czego Apple konsekwentnie unikało od premiery pierwszego modelu w 2015 roku. Gurman zastrzega jednak, że taki produkt jest raczej mało prawdopodobny do wydania.
Firma bierze też pod uwagę wprowadzenie nowych wariantów premium, plasujących się powyżej obecnych modeli Ultra i Hermès, a jednocześnie rozważa jeszcze tańsze opcje uzupełniające istniejący Apple Watch SE. Innymi słowy: rozciągnięcie linii produktowej w obu kierunkach jednocześnie. Apple nie zdecydowało jeszcze o ostatecznym kierunku, ale — jak podkreśla Gurman — jest zdeterminowane, żeby przemyśleć swoją linię produktową w odpowiedzi na rosnącą konkurencję.
Cała ta przebudowa sprzętowa ma iść w parze ze zmianami programowymi — Apple planuje uczynić swoje urządzenia do noszenia bardziej zorientowanymi na AI, z ambitnymi, długoterminowymi planami gruntownego odświeżenia aplikacji Zdrowie. Segment wearables, home i akcesoriów od lat mierzy się ze stagnacją wzrostu, a to właśnie ten obszar Apple chce ożywić tą przebudową.
Warto jednak studzić emocje: jak zaznacza 9to5Mac, żaden z tych kierunków nie jest bliski wdrożenia, a Apple nie podjęło jeszcze konkretnej decyzji co do żadnego z nich. Cokolwiek radykalnie nowego pojawi się na rynku, stanie się to najwcześniej za kilka lat.
Ceramika może wrócić już w tym roku
Drugi wątek dotyczy czegoś bliższego w czasie. Jak opisuje MacRumors, Apple planuje przywrócić charakterystyczną ceramiczną obudowę Apple Watcha jeszcze w tym roku lub w 2027.
Ceramika po raz pierwszy pojawiła się w Apple Watch Edition z Serią 2 we wrześniu 2016 roku, zastępując oryginalny, złoty wariant Edition i sprowadzając cenę linii z kilku tysięcy dolarów do stosunkowo skromnych 1249 dolarów. Biały wariant, wykonany ze sprasowanego proszku cyrkonowo-aluminiowego polerowanego diamentową zawiesiną i reklamowany jako czterokrotnie twardszy od stali nierdzewnej, rok później doczekał się szarej wersji przy okazji Serii 3. Linia Edition zniknęła jednak całkowicie w Serii 4 w 2018 roku, a Apple na jeden rok pozostało bez żadnego wariantu premium obudowy. Biała ceramika wróciła w Serii 5 w 2019 roku, obok nowego wówczas wariantu tytanowego, po czym Apple ostatecznie wycofało ją przy premierze Serii 6 w 2020 roku. Od sześciu lat materiał jest nieobecny w ofercie, stając się jednym z bardziej pożądanych wykończeń wśród kolekcjonerów na rynku wtórnym.
Poza samą ceramiką, nadchodzące Apple Watch Series 12 i Apple Watch Ultra 4 mają kontynuować trend skromnych aktualizacji, z ulepszeniami „pod maską” obejmującymi wyraźny wzrost wydajności — najpewniej za sprawą nowego chipa, po tym jak dwie ostatnie generacje dzieliły ten sam układ S10, praktycznie niezmieniony względem S9 z 2023 roku. Gurman dodaje, że tegoroczne modele otrzymają też nowe kolory, paski oraz szereg usprawnień związanych ze zdrowiem i fitnessem. Apple Watch Series 12 i Ultra 4 mają zadebiutować razem z iPhone’em 18 Pro, iPhone’em 18 Pro Max i pierwszym składanym iPhone’em już w przyszłym miesiącu.

Softwaren til Ouraring er ikke altid for klog. I dag mener den fx at dette var min sovetid. I stedet for, som det retteligen var, en nattesøvn og to lure (jeg er syg men var faktisk oppe når jeg ikke sov). Og man kan ikke lige rette til.
Jeg er egentlig glad for ringens målinger, men dens software er edderbroderemig irriterende. #selftracking #ouraring

Got sizing kit for #Ouraring as upgrading to 5. Tried the 8 on; same as I wear in the model 3. Felt a little big. Tried the 7 on definitely too small. So not going with up or down in size. So if you are in a rush just order the same size as in your previous model. Especially going from model 3 to 5.
