I was just thinking about OS interface metaphor. The computer is the desk. The keyboard and other peripherals are the stationary. The screen in the desktop. So what goes on a desktop?
On a desktop OS it's always been files. On a mobile, apps. But what might be more useful - on desktop but maybe on mobile too - would be *projects*. So clicking on icon can open a set of projects files, and whatever apps they were last opened with.
