The #Orisha Obatalá was tasked with the creation of humans but he got drunk on palm wine and his creations turned out accordingly. Therefore, anyone born with any birth defect is considered protected by the orisha & a child of Obatalá. -
We are almost done with preparing to cross the South Atlantic back to Cape Town. We got our rigging checked and our winches are serviced. We also made an offering to Yemọja and got to experience and celebrate some of the Yoruba religion here in João Pessoa, Brazil.
