Setup org-cal-dav - those 'events' there? synced to everywhere else I check my calendar. I'd been putting this off as something that I thought was going to be complicated and potentially mess up my org files - working very nicely and no issues so far.

I brushed over my #emacs #orgmode and #orgagenda skills, and I feel ready to use org-agenda as my and only agenda.

There's one feature I need and am not totally sure about: how to access it on the go, on my phone for instance. I could export to ics and upload to an online calendar, or export to html and use that on my phone.

Any other suggestions or experience to share?

I do this daily to switch between personal and business view of the same #orgagenda. 😉

How do you split your work and personal tasks on #orgmode #orgagenda ? I used to have them split by tags and filter by them, but I wonder if there are other and better options

A naive #emacs #orgmode #orgagenda question: I was following https://redgreenrepeat.com/2021/04/09/org-mode-agenda-getting-started-scheduled-items-and-todos/ and registered a 'test.org' file with a list of…

* item title
SCHEDULED: <date>

and these scheduled items show fine, but for Dec 28 it shows

Monday 18 December 2023 W51
test: Sched.12x: item one
test: Sched.10x: item two

What do these mean, why are there there, and can I get rid of them?

On my workplace PC, #orgContacts shows #BIRTHDAY in #orgAgenda as it should. It has a very simple config, so I blame my slightly complex dot​#emacs.d files.

@tytr just messing with it for a little bit.. it looks like i really on LOTS of stuff that isn't a thing in #logseq .. #elisp #orgagenda #orgbabel #orgtables .. etc.. dang..

@tytr i use #orgmode for my work life only.. and i use org roam dailies to keep track of each day.. putting tasks directly into the daily file.. and aggregating them with #orgagenda .. checking to see if i can do that here.

@tytr uh oh.. it has #orgmode like blocks. same syntax. uh oh.. wondering if it has task aggregation tools like #orgagenda .. by the way.. you presented this rabbit hole.. gonna be billing my time to you on this..
