My husband and I hiked to the upper viewpoint at Cascade Head today. What a gorgeous hike. The trail first goes through the forest, then emerges onto a grassland meadow with amazing views. #oregoncoast #CascadeHead

I’m back on the road again, going to Salem to drop off the loaner dog #Damu with his hooman
Staying in the same spot I did last week with the babbling brook
It’s exactly half way between where I was and where I’m going
The drive can be done in half a day with minimal stops, but hwy 101 along the Oregon coast deserves lots of stopping and oogling the ocean
I’d rather spend half a day getting half the way!
