I took a pretty walk around Yaquina Head this morning. I slept in, but still went early enough that it wasn’t crowded when I got there, though it was getting busier by the time I left. The trick to lose the crowds is to climb the steep paths. I stopped at the top of Communication Hill for a while to watch surfers catching waves. You can see them in the water at the bottom of the picture looking south, if you look closely. #oregoncoast #newportoregon

The West Coast Railroaders Group was operating Speeder Excursions for the public from the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad station in Garibaldi, Oregon. We got to ride a speeder around the bay (Miami Cove) and back. This was a rare opportunity that I wanted to take advantage of while we had the chance. I’m glad we did! It was fun and interesting.

Life on the #OregonCoast is usually cooler than the inland areas, but this is even cooler than usual.
Been sunny and low 60s the last few weeks.
My sympathies for those suffering from heat and humidity this week

Went for my first real ride of the year
Several miles down the south beach road out to a park in a nice cove
I needed some groceries so after hanging out at the beach I stopped at the village market out there for supplies
Used all three luggage boxes and had room to spare!
My long goat beard blows into a fork in the wind!
I need someone to video me riding by so I can see it flying in the breeze!
