I have composed exactly one poem in my life, and here it is:

Comfort Measures

Let it be dignified, they say.
No embarrassment, don’t overstay.
Don’t be caught dead in white after Labor Day,
or alive, incontinent, after eighty.

If we have any say when it comes for me,
forget antiseptic dignity.
And whether I go gentle or I rage,
let me savor every
viscous, pungent, searing drop
of filthy life and age
and love,
uncontained.
