Meeting up with the community at the Open Repositories on site was another great time. In the meantime, the presentations and posters have been published, including our contributions:
Authority to Entities: A DSpace 7 migration case study. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.12542561
Creating DOIs with rich metadata using DSpace. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.12514507

“RDF astronauts”
c/o Peter Sefton IIRC during Q&A for https://ptsefton.com/2024/06/04/open-repositories-2024-pilars/ (“A comprehensive, open and sustainable set of principles and tools for low (and high) resource Archival Repositories”) at #OpenRepos2024

This morning, we had a great session on advancing #OpenAccess repositories at Germany's largest library conference, #BiblioCon24.
Many thanks to all participants for their openness!
We will publish the results shortly.
For more information about our Pro OAR DE project, check: https://www.ibi.hu-berlin.de/de/forschung/infomanagement/projekte/pro-oar-de
Big thanks to the DINI WG Electronic Publishing (@DiniAgE_Pub) for the excellent collaboration!
BTW: Greetings also to the #OpenRepos2024 colleagues.

nice "FAIR Signposting" validator presented by @martinklein at #OpenRepos2024 :

@tore @paulwalk The answer was YES!
But there seems to be a lot of room for improvement, also if you compare the hashtag usage of the two conferences taking place at the same time #openrepos2024 and #bibliocon24.

From a distance 🎶 I embraced the epitome of „Should repositories participate in the Fediverse?“ by @paulwalk at #openrepos2024
https://www.conftool.net/or2024/index.php?page=browseSessions&form_session=458#paperID337
Since there was no immediate uptake on Mastodon, is this a vote for No?
-
Since I am maybe the only repository in the #fediverse ?!
Right now more than 4000 people somehow related to libraries are meeting in #Hamburg for #bibliocon24.
Something I‘d like to share with #openrepos2024 : @Bibliothecaris gave a convincing talk today why #OpenScience requires Open Communcation.„From bird to mammoth: How the University of Groningen Library embraces ‘open’ principles in its social media strategy“

For a short version see our poster. I hear my admin was rather busy at the poster session and didn't even get to eat. But I am more than sure that #openrepos2024 talks were worth the effort. I am sure he made up on the food by now.

„Understanding and using the #ORCID integration in #DSpace and #DSpaceCRIS“
Hamburg University of Technology recently conducted a project in order to improve the login process against ORCID for DSpace-CRIS.
This presentation focuses on the results and shows, how the ORCID integration in DSpace-CRIS and DSpace can be used at all. It explains the different integration levels between of the two platforms regarding their ORCID integration.#openrepos2024 Presentation ⤵️
