This week I spent time taking apart a retail binding, reducing the textblock size to 30%, inserted loose additions, resewed and converted from a flat back multiple section case binding to a multiple section pamphlet binding.

This week I'm working on a new(ish) acquisition which is an early 1900s brochure for new Anglican workwear/ uniforms. The inside back cover includes swatches of very beautiful woven wool.
Someone tried to repair it with pressure sensitive tape. The repairs failed.

We really try to ensure as many original items as possible can accessed. This means inspecting each shelfmark.
This tracing paper item is too delicate for handling but I'll lay it/them out with "no handling" instruction.
