We stopped today, a day earlier than planned, because of the bad weather forecast for tomorrow. We were in a well-connected place, just about 3h-long train ride to Warsaw downtown. Easier to get home from here than from the next village, and easier to come back here if we ever wanted to pick the trail again.
Also today we met the first group of on-foot tourists in 9 days. They were all Dutch. This area is popular with bikers, but hiking is rare.
Today's #OneShotADay is from Biebrza National Park. This marks the end of our #hiking #vacation. 210km in 8 days, 348km in total including the prefix over 5 weekend days.

We took a day off (not #hiking) for regeneration. We stopped in the historic town of Tykocin. Today's #OneShotADay is from Tykocin's magnificent Great Synagogue, (sadly) a museum today. Before Holocaust about half of the four thousand inhabitants of Tykocin were Jewish.

We started the least planned summer vacation of my married life. We (myself + SO) simply hike toward north east, mostly non-touristic flat lands in Poland; planning accommodation on-the-fly (three days in advance). It is much more challenging to find places to stay than on established trails. But #noTent. Tomorrow day #2.
