#Valentine was a forename given to several of the #Knightley men of #Fawsley in #Northamptonshire. Here we see the monument (inside Fawsley St Mary's) to Sir Valentyne Knyghtley who died in 1566, and the gravestone (in the churchyard) of Charles Valentine Knightley who died in 1932.

#OnePlaceAdvent: document. Not your usual document…one of #Dunster’s doctors, Francis George Hayes, wrote regular newspaper columns reminiscing about his 42 years at Dunster. I’ll be blogging about him in the New Year #OnePlaceWednesday

#OnePlaceAdvent: occupations. Flashback to some analysis I did on occupations in #Dunster in the 1841 census. I was interested to see how many female employees occupations were recorded. Most men were employed in agriculture & most employed women were servants #OnePlaceWednesday
