I had this year's dream visitation of The One That Got Taken.
No, he's not dead.
I used to say he was stolen, but he was never really mine.
Taken would be the more apt word.
I am over him, but not a year would pass that he would not visit me in a dream.
In the dream, all the old feelings would surface, and when I wake, everything will be as gone as they had been for a long time.
These days, I just take the dream to mean I have to make art and make my own story.
