So, the UK energy "price cap" is going up again in October. Up by 4%.
I'm currently on a fixed price tariff with OVO, but it turns out they're actually *awful* at sourcing renewable energy, and this when I pay the extra for their "Greener" tariff! Ref: https://matched.energy/?r=false&s=domestic&rw=true&b=true&n=true
So, I'm going to look at moving to Good Energy, even though it'll mean paying 17% extra (for my specific usage, and being on Economy 7), as they're rated highest on that index. This way I'll have a new fix locked in for 12 months *before* the price rise.
Anyone else in the UK, it's time to look at getting a new fix before October, even if you're currently on one and would have to pay an exit fee for moving.
