Day 8: “Take Three“
The only song on the album that started with the music (as opposed to the lyrics), which came to me waking from a nap.
🎵❤️: I like the way the same melody in the chorus is sung alternatively over different chords (first D and A and then B7 and E7), and the recurring augmented chord, and the major 7 harmonies on the final chorus (and the discreet ”clonk” of the piano keys being released at the very tail end :)

Day 7: “Do Something!“
I had imagined something vastly different musically, but things didn’t go as planned. Retrospectively, I guess the album had to have at least one #ukulele song (gotta please the fans 😂)
🎵❤️: The two contrapuntal vocal lines in the choral break, one in each ear, that you can hear more clearly in the final encore, were entirely improvised and are both first takes. Guess I was in the zone.
