  2. Part 2 of a series about the #opensource #Neptune project and the efforts to get it on the air by converting #MATLAB and #simulink models into #HDL was published today. Thank you to everyone helping make this possible!

Learning about #ofdm and how to use HDL Coder has been challenging and rewarding.

  3. Cyclic prefix for the #OFDM symbols is working on #Neptune. Took longer than it should because the data visualization had some quirks.

Moving towards more of this #drone based protocol being in an #fpga

Really nice to work with such a professional and competent team of #opensource volunteers.

  4. There has been a lot of #OFDM work for #neptune, and #polyphase work for #Haifuraiya over the past week. We're looking forward to another great week ahead.

Haifuraiya, by the way, is an #opensource #heo or #geo communications payload for #hamradio.

There is a lot of great work going on, but if you have not been hearing about it and want to, then please add yourself to our newsletter audience here: openresearch.institute/newslet

  8. Started the process of adjusting the design constraints to get the #ADRV9002 working with the #zcu106 in @OpenResearchIns #FPGA Remote Labs. Got the simple stuff done first - GPIO switches and LEDs.

This rig will be used for #Neptune, an #OpenSource #ofdm low-layency project for #Drones and #aerospace

Draft specification has been circulated for initial review.

Leonard Dieguez, an FPGA designer with military rotary wing background, is the project lead.

    More updates soon :)

  9. If you've gotten the zcu106 to work with an ADRV9002 the same way it does with a zcu102, let me know!

Trying to get this on the air in @OpenResearchIns Remote Labs for an project.
