24 now (you are not the only tardy one, I only added mine the other day, yep it's an age thing wrapped in a reflective thing), some just mention #oer24 briefly, some discuss in detail - and some like this, ask good questions about good conferencing in general - I'll jot a comment down at the end of yours now (before I forget).

& yes, very yes, to the importance of "sitting one out" during the conference, either to look about the place or to really get into the conversations that count

This was my second time to attend the OER conference. The venue being Cork meant a train journey for me so off to a great start. And having got to my hotel, Isaac's, and discovered that Frances Bell was staying there too and we could share the commute out to MTU (and learned the secret way of the 207 bus thanks to Anne-Marie Scott), well that was another win, as we had much catching up to do.

I heard about Harrison Owens death on my return from #oer24 yesterday, I only wish I'd known before I went to Cork.
The concept of Open Space Technology, the original unconference, has been central to my study and practice of #TeachMeet and beyond - I thank @rmillwood and Ewan McIntosh for the introduction to it.
I am glad I reminded people about OST in our parallel session on Thursday morning.
Sending grateful thoughts out into the open universe to you, Harrison Owen.

I keep seeing posts from #OER24 and they make me even more sad than I already was that I was not able to be there.

Now I’ve heard the Ontario Commons license was based on a BC Commons license of some kind. I have questions (per usual). Was CC consulted in the process? Can other reconciliation-oriented licenses be created to address the blind spots of the CC suite WRT Native Hawaiian and other indigenous knowledges? The TK labels are nice but we’ve hit some stalling points and I’m looking at other options. The CC license text is in the public domain, after all. /cc @mackiwg #OER24
