Early part of the day is mostly focussed on getting a leisurely Saturday breakfast, as per tradition, and then browsing the produce shop to replenish our veggies and see what looks good for the #EBTSC bake this weekend.

I've got our #oddBunch weekly produce box deliveries paused because the garden is producing now, and we were a bit overloaded for a while. Resuming in September.

Aw drat, I forgot to cancel the #OddBunch box for this week, so the charge just happened and it will arrive on Saturday. We're going to be overloaded with veg and fruit.

Will need to be creative to use everything up next week. Need to add a Monday reminder to my calendar.

Got the #oddBunch box before our out-breakfast this morning. Not bad, though only one of us eats bell peppers (aka capsicum). I would've swapped that out if I'd known it was the 'surprise item' this week. Esp since we still have some from the prev week.

The little eggplant is a bit small to do usual things with (BBQ slices or baba-ganouj). I think that's a graffiti (aka Sicilian) eggplant.

Also need a more interesting spag squash use than pseudo-pasta applications, with sauce.

Veggy/fruit box delivered today. I forgot about the substitution deadline Tuesday, so it came unadulterated by our preferences.

Oh well, we can get through all the stuff.

Returned home to just catch the arrival of the #OddBunch box for today.

@stephanie @olivier looking forward to our #OddBunch delivery today as there's local asparagus in there too. Skipped the last couple, so it'll be a highlight of the day.

Had some slightly woody imported stuff a bit earlier in the season, so hope this is nice

Well, here's today's basket. I forgot to check for substitutes required this week, so we just got what was scheduled, but it's a good list! They're all useful items.

Got my produce box. Need to think strategically about what I can get through on my own this week, vs relegate to the freezer.

Messed up by forgetting to pause this weekend's produce-box delivery. I'm going to have to use up this stuff by myself, as I'm cooking for one all next week.

Some of it will keep fine, but I'll have to be creative to ensure I don't waste anything.

I've taken pics of the last few produce deliveries, but forgot to post. This is today's delivery.

Looks pretty good, enjoying some bits in a salad right now. The tangerine oranges look a little rough, but we can work around that.

Got our #oddBunch delivery. A good value this week for sure. I did one substitution, getting plums instead of grapefruit.

Going to put the plums in the icebox
And save them for breakfast.
They should be so good
So cold and sweet.
Can't imagine anything going wrong.

Guess I'd better clear some snow before the #oddBunch delivery needs Sherpa guidance to reach the front door.

Quite a haul from the #oddBunch people this week. Whew.

We requested a couple of substitutions, as we expected to still have lettuce and parsnips on hand. But they gave us the replacement items and still left in the "remove" items.

Pretty great value.

Just got our #oddBunch drop off. Looks like a good mix this week.

The #oddBunch produce box was received today. Thankfully our sidewalk motion sensor alerts me of an approaching delivery so the fruit and veg didn't need to sit out in the -20C at all.

I substituted onions for the bell peppers (aka capsicum aka paprika ) but they left one behind anyway. Oh well, I eat them, tho' my partner doesn't.

Today is an #OddBunch delivery day. Probably not great to leave a box of fresh produce outside very long at -25C.

Luckily they give lots of warning about the pending drop off, otherwise it'll be frozen pretty quickly.

Today's #oddBunch arrived. Just one apple? Hmm. A nice good-sized bag of green beans. I substituted limes for potatoes, and peppers for broccoli, so that worked out nicely. Good value again anyway.

What are the brown things in the paper bag? Maybe lychees? I thought they were red usually. Unsure. Anyone know?

Edit - seems to be longan. I've only had those in syrup before, not fresh. Nice

Today's #oddBunch received. Looking forward to the pomegranates. And kiwis seem to be about $1 each these days, so that's a nice value there.

A one day delay due to the week's weather, but our #oddBunch order just received.

Fun to see the monster carrots! Have never had one of those ur carrots before, but I see them all the time in Japan-based media. Cool.

Better batch this week. Last week was a bit thin, though likely still a good value.

Fresh herbs and tomatoes and onions in our #oddBunch fruit and veg delivery yesterday… made some quinoa #tabbouleh
