    📣 Over two impactful days in Ammochostos (Ayia Napa), Cyprus, around 300 participants from research, policy, industry and innovation ecosystems came together to explore how science and cooperation can shape the future of our oceans.

    Co-organised by the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI), the Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence, and the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, within the framework of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the conference fostered meaningful dialogue, networking and knowledge exchange on ocean governance, marine science and blue innovation. 🌊

    💡 The opening speech of the conference had been delivered by Dr. Costas Kadis, European Commissioner for Fisheries and Oceans, while Dr. Nicodemos Damianou, Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy & Dr. Theodoulos Mesimeris, Acting Permanent Secretary of the Shipping Deputy Ministry, welcomed conference participants and initiated discussions on translating cutting-edge marine research into evidence-based policy and market-ready solutions for a sustainable and competitive blue economy.

    🌍 Together, we are strengthening cooperation, advancing innovation, and working towards healthier, more resilient oceans.
