I stumbled across an interesting video made by Youtuber struthless about objection.ai, a "platform" that can be seen as a shadow tribunal for corporate media censorship, founded by Aron D´Souza, with tech billionaires Peter Thiel and Balaji Srinivasan backing the project from behind the scenes.
For the price of 2000 $, anyone can have media reports vetted there. An AI then dictates what the 'truth' is and ranks journalists in a public index. Critics view it as an attempt to build a parallel, unregulated legal system to crack down on critical reporting. An incredibly dystopian look at the future of the media.
Right now, Objection.ai is just a private initiative. It carries zero legal weight. For a system like this to actually work, it relies entirely on outside institutions and the public to validate its 'verdicts.'
And that means it is up to all of us to refuse to play along. We cannot let private AI tribunals dictate what is true and who is allowed to speak.
And it begs the question: if we accept a reality where tools like Objection.ai are normalized, what comes next? What is the next boundary they will push?
