Living for a week in Black Rock City gave me a taste of exactly what I think society is supposed to be like. People focused on caring for strangers because its fuqing fun! People helping each other so we can all make and enjoy more art.
That was what the most magic part of this city was. My first actual taste of a decommodified community in 49 years. I've been dreaming of the experience in this city since I first heard John Lennon's Imagine.
I believe I can help build a community that lives like this year round. I've met so many people who share this dream as a goal in this life, since I first braved admitting it aloud, earlier this year.
While I continue to build this dream inside of me, and look for the others who align with it, I'm gonna get to work on a Unicorn Carriage that I hope to build by E11.
