Thanks Doug for being my first follower here. I've been using Mastodon.cloud since 2017 and have about 250 followers, but I've not been able to access it for a few days, so I decided to open an account here.

I've been connected to many educators on Twitter since 2013 via #clmooc #etmooc #nt2t and other groups.

Here's a blog article I wrote in March pointing to blogs being written during a learning event hosted by #etmooc2 group. tutormentor.blogspot.com/2023/

  11. A5 - I believe that there are extreme differences here. From my point of view, it is currently completely unthinkable in Germany that Twitter is used as part of teaching. That's why I can't answer this question #nt2t
    ---
    RT @stephwurking
Q5 - Describe how teachers can foster student voice and student choice on Twitter #NT2T
    twitter.com/stephwurking/statu

  12. I know it doesn't quite hit the question, unfortunately that's all I can offer #nt2t

  13. A4 Also with reference to the previous question, I'd like to renew the idea of a protected area. Social media could have a motivating effect per se. But social media simulators might also help. wakelet.com/wake/jtQQ3Hz4_sADx #nt2t

Q4 - Identify the forms in which Twitter can boost student motivation #NT2T
    twitter.com/stephwurking/statu

  14. A3 - Unfortunately, I don't see many concrete possibilities, but I would be happy to receive input. In my view, students also have the right to work in a protected, non-public setting. There are possibilities for this. Twitter is not one of them #nt2t
    ---
    RT @stephwurking
Q3 - State one manner in which Twitter can be an effective platform for student collaboration. #NT2T
    twitter.com/stephwurking/statu

  15. A2 - A disadvantage is, of course, the tendency to always stay in one's own bubble. That in turn is also an advantage. You have to reflect on yourself and others much more critically. The impulses from #nt2t, among others, are a valuable way of thinking outside the box #nt2t

Q2- Identify one benefit and one drawback Twitter poses as an Open Educational Resource #NT2T
    twitter.com/stephwurking/statu

  16. A1- For me, Twitter and here the #twitterlehrerzimmer is a great treasure trove. Material, discussions, new ideas and, if I ask for it, critical feedback. My teaching had changed a lot, also because of Twitter #nt2t

  21. A4. I have to write down my working hours and I do it consistently. On one day it is more on the other I leave earlier or come later. There is no overtime in the home office, so that's when I finish. I really recommend keeping clean documentation. And of course #mstodo #nt2t

Q4: What tools do you use to organize yourself and your work and to take the pressure off yourself? What can you recommend?

  22. If time is perceived as meaningful and profitable, then I believe the conflicts of the question do not arise at all #nt2t

  23. A3 Our students spend a not inconsiderable amount of time at school. At all-day schools, this can be between 21 and 32 hours per week. in my opinion, there needs to be a good reason for school to take up even more time.
    ---
    RT @seni_bl
Q3: The topic of time management and self-care is also important for students. How do we bring this closer to them? Can you share any experiences or tips?
    #Nt2t
    twitter.com/seni_bl/status/162

  24. A2. My route is 50 kilometers. Therefore, I already have time to switch off. Radio, music, podcasts, or sometimes just silence. My „cool down“ time consequently takes place in the car #nt2t
    ---
    RT @seni_bl
Q2: How much time do you plan for yourself as relaxation between work phases at school and at home? How do you organize this?
    #Nt2t

  25. A1. I actually find it a relief. After the end of working hours, I make a clear cut. I can also only be reached by phone in an emergency or via Threema #nt2t

Q1: Work and private life are blurring. We also do tasks from home. How do you perceive this - as a burden or a relief?

  26. Looking forward to today's #nt2t chat with @seni_bl on Time Management & Self-Care. It's nice to see that students are also in the spotlight. So get to the keyboard and participate!

  27. Oh my, there are so many. My children and I love Astrid Lindgren's books. Because of my subjects, I only had to deal with textbooks at school, but I loved the read-aloud contests #nt2t
    @seni_bl what's your favourite book?

At the end of each chat we pose a challenge for you to complete. Here is this week's chat. #NT2T
    twitter.com/shyj/status/162442

  28. A4: I have already written this in answer to the first question. We have a central office that examines textbooks. In addition to the technical expertise, there is also social and ecclesiastical expertise, so you can assume that all concerns are taken into account #nt2t
    ---
    RT @shyj
Here is our final question for today's chat. #NT2T
    twitter.com/shyj/status/162441

  29. A3: Here, too, yes. Books or media that contain fake news, that relativize historical facts, or that discriminate against groups have no place in the public sphere. In my opinion, this also applies to music #nt2t
    ---
    RT @shyj
    Here is Q3 #NT2T
    twitter.com/shyj/status/162441

  30. A2: In my view, we have a great responsibility to make media accessible to children. Both analog and digital. That's why we have to pay close attention to what we offer, and yes, certain content should not be available in schools #nt2t
    ---
    RT @shyj
Here is our second question. #NT2T
    twitter.com/shyj/status/162441

  31. A1: Textbooks are checked by a central office before they can be used. There are sometimes discussions about the books that are read. I remember that there was once an outcry because it was about same-sex love, but that was more of a flash in the pan #nt2t
    ---
    RT @shyj
Here is our first question. We will only have 4 questions today so we have have deeper conversations. #NT2T

  33. A5: None, actually. I try to approach each day in a way that makes it a good one. If I know it has become "difficult", then I try to set up motivational times #nt2t

Q5: What are your ongoing goals that would increase your good days and make them even better? #NT2t

  34. It's always learning!
    ---
    RT @seni_bl
A4: like to reflect on my attitude, on my acting - try to find reasons, how to act the next time in similar situations.
It’s always learning - at the end of each day. #nt2t twitter.com/jeremydbond/status
    twitter.com/seni_bl/status/162

  35. A4: It always depends on whether I was able to shape the day myself or whether I was externally determined. If I was responsible myself, then I have to reflect intensively on what the problem was #nt2t
    ---
    RT @JeremyDBond
Q4: When you reflect on a bad day, what do you try to learn from it
in order to approach the days to come? #NT2t
    twitter.com/JeremyDBond/status

  36. A3: Listening, reinforcing, (cuddling), laughing and helping to find other strategies #nt2t
    ---
    RT @JeremyDBond
Q3: When kids aren’t having a good day, how can we guide them
    at turning things around? #NT2t
    twitter.com/JeremyDBond/status

  37. A2: I see 2 reasons. Either because they could show what they can do, or because they just had fun and could be themselves #nt2t
    ---
    RT @JeremyDBond
Q2: When kids say they had a good day, what are some of the reasons? #NT2t

  38. A1: On a really good day I laughed a lot, wonder where the time went and am not exhausted despite efforts #nt2t

And I’m searching for answers to too many questions about topics, resources and people. 😉
