Thanks to everyone who came by for our last event before the summer, and to #NouraTafeche for the premiere of 𓁺 𝑨 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒑𝒉𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑽𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𓁺

Through a lecture-performance unfolding from a single image, we moved through layers of visibility, spectacle, opacity, and the politics of looking — asking not only what images show us, but what they ask us to accept.

Using a single 3D architectural rendering extracted from the visual production of NEOM as an entry point, the lecture-performance excavates one contemporary image that functions as anticipatory infrastructure. Whether it will ever be fully realized becomes almost secondary to the authority of its circulation.

In a world saturated with visual stimuli and marked by shrinking attention spans, 𝗧𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗲 invites us to consider which images truly deserve our attention. Focusing on a single 3D architectural rendering from NEOM—the planned smart city at the heart of Saudi Arabia’s “Vision 2030” program—she examines how images shape perception and belief.
