I'm reading "American Midnight: The Great War, a Violent Peace, and Democracy's Forgotten Crisis" by Adam Hochschild and it made me wonder: what would have happened if Woodrow Wilson had kept his 1916 campaign promise and the US had not participated in the first World War?
There are plenty of dystopian novels that speculate what would have happened if the US had skipped the second world war but what about the first?
