Just looking at the Radio Times listings for 14 December 1980 and pondering that it is probably what the character sheet for "You have Been Watching - The Neverseventies RPG" would look like.
My reasoning is there is both a picture of Doug McClure and a Whale, and it is in the 1980s.
Also it would be hopelessly overengineered to get that effect and thus appeal to the Morkborg aesthetic and probably annoy everyone else. Huzzah!
