Can't help but think the inevitable millions could be spent on something more useful for the populace. Really, would anything that comes out of "No. 10A" be different than if it came out of the real No. 10?

It’s not a bad idea for the UK government to have a more centrally located hub outside London, but to draw analogy between Manchester and the ’North Pole’ is just hilarious, given that Manchester is at least two-thirds of the way down the country! 😂 www.bbc.com/news/article... #UKPolitics #No10North

It's a mendacious euphemism for an unattributed insider briefing. Someone in #AndyBurnham's team told the #ManchesterEveningNews, but won't put their name to it. And the #MEN is sleazy enough to print it.
Same old oldpolitics.

Anyone remember the whining from some at the BBC when they moved a few bits of the org to Salford? There'll be a reception (collective noun?) of political journalists, lobbyists, spads & commentators who believe Watford is too far north, sharpening their pens as he speaks…

If Burnham pulls this off, he will radically change Britain and the direction it is going in. But he will have a Whitehall, a Press and a Tory/Reform party all fighting against him.
So l wonder will he have the bottle for a fight and the balls to use that majority he is inheriting.
