    You are right that for lunar and planetary, you don't even need a tracking mount. I took this image of Eratosthenes crater with a #60mm unguided telescope. I did use the #NexImage Celestron camera which is a converted web cam. I wrote software that could track the non guided image across the fov, and could then align and combine frames.

    How about the Celestron #Neximage 5

    I have an earlier version, it just plugs into the focuser or a Barlow and via USB cable to a laptop. Works well for moon and planet photography.
