I've promised to myself - and others - that one day I'd write a novel about "The Family".

It would be a work of fiction based off real life and it would be about a loose knit community in #Bergen #Norway, comprised of #hipsters, #hippies, #newagers and #ravers.

They have cost the #Norwegian #welfare system millions - and don't even know it.

I'm not sure if I'm at a point in my life now where I can write about them, but I will be employing my inner #huntersthompson and #williamburroughs.

Like there has to be some time in a #NewAgers head when they realise that they share the same "#spirituality" of silicon valley executives and that it should be a HUGE red flag for them. Not so.

In fact, they'll gladly lie to you, to their family, and ultimately to them selves - if they aren't just an opportunist who lies to everyone else but them selves. This is the chief narcissist.

Their job is to make sure the whole thing is lucrative, and boy howdy is it ever lucrative.

When it comes to vain coupled with paranoid, none are as pronounced as that of someone who is of the #NewAge

#NewAgers are a special kind, whose call to fame is to co-opt eastern mysticism, philosophy and spiritualism, while stripping it of all things self sacrifice, piousness and discipline. In essence modern day #NewAge is about the worship of the self, or more precisely: narcissism.

This spurs on sentiments like government controlling weather, adrenochrome harvested from babies, etc

There's an overlap between #hipsters, #hippies, #newagers and #ravers. It's possibly the most toxic ven diagram you could go into as a "neuro divergent" (at least here in #Bergen, #Norway).

Basically, I remember them going from "oh they're attracted by the pretty colours" to "oh they are self destructive".

What I experienced from the other side was a sycophantic group filled with narcecists that cost the local government tons of money in health care. Teach your kids to stay away.
