Really hope to see a much easier sign up workflow.
The idea could be an automatically assigned server geographically. The user puts in their username. Click continue which then completes the sign up flow on the assigned server geographically. Similar to how #bluesky does it.
It's really important to make the sign up as easy as possible to get over the #NetworkingEffect

@chriszx Hi Chris, Many thanks for your feedback. Yes, we would also like to see #Thegreenparty actually using their #Mastodon account as well. We have been in touch since 2023 and the latest is it's something the greens think "isn't worth committing our very limited resources" to. The trouble is the #networkingeffect You can email [email protected] to encourage them. We can add additional parties as well.

@Robo @dansup https://pixelfed.social/supapp Heck this would be useful for bridging group chats between signal and Facebooks whatsapp service. Simply put people wouldn't need to download an additional app or such and could work on overcoming the #NetworkingEffect problem #signal has.

The Biggest challenge @pixelfed &@loops has is the #NetworkingEffect sign up should be as simple as how #bluesky makes it. Default option of pixelfed.social prefilled with option to edit and add custom domain. If @dansup plays his cards right #Instagram will be no more.
